New York International Bridal Market

Yesterday saw the launch of International Bridal Market in New York where American and European dress designers in the bridal industry showcase their Autumn/Winter '11 collections.  As well as stands at the Pier 94 where retailers get to view many designers collections, there are catwalk shows scattered at various venues throughout the city.

I have eagerly awaited updates on Twitter the past two days from Miranda Eason, editor-in-chief of You & Your Wedding and Cosmopolitan Bride.  Miranda provides up to the minute synopsis of styles from leading designers catwalk shows.  My favourite so far is an absolutley stunning charcoal dress from Vera Wang.

It seems we are set to still see one shoulder dresses, lace and embellishmnets continue in to the latter part of the year, with an amazing large corsage at the waist of another Vera Wang dress, suggesting details will become even more three dimensional.

Aswell as Miranda Eason and a whole host of other British wedding professionals attending the shows in NYC, Annabel of Love My Dress is exhibiting at Wedding Channel Couture Show along with British wedding PR company, Propose PR.  This is fantastic news for the British bridal industry aswell as the wedding blogging community here in good ol' Blighty.

I am sure the magazines and blogs both here and in the US will be full of images from the shows over the coming weeks and as I am not entirely sure where I stand legally in sharing images from Twitter, I will leave you guessing just how divine the gowns are!
