A Slice of Wedding Cake

I know there is still a trend to serve cupcakes at your wedding breakfast however there are too many fabulous tiered cakes for them to be overlooked.  Whilst white icing is traditional, with the whiter the icing in Victorian times signifying the wealth and status of your family, the colours of your day can be included in your cake either with icing or flowers. NB The British Sugarcraft Guild advise against the use of real flowers being used to decorate cakes as many are poisinous and covered in pesticides to keep them looking pretty
