Bridal Shower Inspiration - Afternoon Tea

Traditionaly we do not have bridal showers here in the UK but I think we should.  What better excuse to get all of the female guests invited to your wedding together for a special party before the big day.  The theme for your bridal shower could reflect your actual wedding theme or be completly different.  I love the idea of an afternoon tea party, pretty flowers arranged in teapots, cake stands filled with slices of victoria sandwich and a selection of teas and homemade lemonade.  A back garden can be transformed with a collection of small tables, adorned with vintage tablecloths, bunting and jam jars filled with tealights hung on trees, dainty sandwiches on pretty vintage serving plates. Perhaps a game of croquet or quoites to entertain your guests whilst they enjoy a cup of Earl Grey or sparkling Elderflower wine served in pretty vintage teacups or hobnail glasses.
